On a christmas night

Fun is only limited by your imagination...

On the usual Christmas day, beside going to the church, exchanging of gifts... eating turkey...
You can always have "candlelight-picnic-dinner" on the beach instead of the usual house party.

That's basically how i decided to spend my Christmas night with my friends this year.
( well.. it became something like a potato dinner, because most of us brought potato dishes for the potluck and as usual it's still so warm in Singapore that we are all perspiring as we eat... how romantic.. =_= )

Nevertheless, when nightfall, the others played night volleyballs, we get to play with lights with our handphones^^


Can you see "PP" in the photo? Because my name is too long, we don' have enough really bright screen phones to form every single letter of my name and it will be weird to form PAU.. so we just settled with my initials .



or maybe just forcefully my surname... it's still 1 letter shorter then my name.

It's really fun doing it...really, but the fun also came along with the cruel fact that we all looked like a bunch of idiots waving or doing God-knows-what in front of the camera... and giggling non stop in the darkness.

but at the end of the day, we are all happy people...

bumblebee...

We were having life drawing in some unknown place, but cool place ^^

There was a transformable bumblebee costume found at the side of the drawing room.
Apparently it's a costume imported from the states in preparation for the promotion of the animated series of transformers. Some one will be putting on the costume, something like this....


and then transform into a car like this....


so whoever is going to put on the suit is literally going to have to fold herself up for the costume to shape like a car...haha ^^

Polar Bear...

I just recalled sth...
I was given the nick name "polar bear " when on my 1st day of school when I was young. ^^
Well... that's because of my name ar. I hated it initially, and the more i asked them to stop the more it just goes on... so it didn't stop. And i just decided to ignore it and let them call me whatever they wanted. Soon, i just got acclimated to it, didn't bother me much and somehow... it just stop. And became rather found of bears actually =P

Getting used to something, may not necessary mean the situation had a turn for good, but maybe on how you coped with the suitation for the better.

Someone still called me "polar " till this day.. lol.. you should know who you are...muahahahaha...

Songs of Innocent & Experiences

I managed to get my final year project compressed into a really really small video. It's a project that was created through teamwork which also turned strangers into close friends. ^^ This is the 1st Render that we finished, with the mistakes here n there... sadly we are not able to get hold of the final render we made. But the graphics and story reminds the same, just that the other version would be much more polished.

Watching it again reminds me of those painful sweet experiences that our team mates and I had ( especially when one of them just left for Taiwan, n I'm not able to join the others to travel there for the meet up next mth >_< )

This may not be an epic show... but the process was definitely epic.
It almost killed me and my group mates. ^^
More then 3 months of painful sleepless night, working for more then 12 hrs in front of the computer almost everyday, camping over night in school... and thanks to it, i mastered the art of sleeping on the chairs without any pain.

It was suppose to be a 3 min clip project but we ended up with a 10 min clip ^^||

Our story tells about a group of creatures without mouth who happened to get themselves mouths.
Well... we mainly wanted to show how the good and bad things can happened with the words we said coming out from our own mouth. So in order to express it, the back part of the show got a little abstract...

It's a Dog's Liife

Its hard to have nice pictures taken for dogs...

Even if they are well dressed, ready for a shot.

They would simply ignore you.

Looking at anywhere else... but the camera.


Sometimes they pose weird poses,

challenge you with difficult angles.


And even if you get them to look at your camera,
they give you the saddest look with their eyes.

Part 2: The birthday brat surprise

Sooo... as i was being hurried out of the event hall by my friends, I happened to be walking aimlessly following whoever that was in front of me and also in a deep conversion with bread. And somehow we ended up on a roof top !! ^^

Yay!! Apparently, my friends hurried me out of hall because there were some other people waiting up at the roof for me... with a cake ^^ ( and i was taking taking my sweet time, walking out of the hall... along with a slight reluctance xp )

As usual, funny stuffs happened in my little life. My dear friends got the cake and candles but not the lighter >_< . SO we waited under the hot sun for someone to get the lighter from the supermarket, but ended up borrowing someone else's lighter ( who was sitting near us all the time) . And because its really windy up there, they tried desperately to light the candles. And when they finally did, the lighted candles were rather short lived.... they only lived for the photo shoots.Hahhaa...

I don't remember hearing any birthday song from them, mainly because the candles went out before we knew it and i just started slicing the cake forgetting about the song too ^^ ||














Besides the surprise cake, there's also a card signed by all of them.... along with a special signature and a greeting by toy designer mori chack, the one who designed the famous pink gloomy bear ^_^ ( they said that they queued for almost an hr for him to sign... so i will appreciate it from the bottom of my heart ... muahhaha )

And to the best part ... the chibi L toy !!! Which was another surprise for me ^^

I thought i won't be able to get my hands on the chibi L toy as they are always.... always... out of stock. Mainly because L was almost everyone favorite character in death note. And the shop owners told me that they are not going to restock them again from japan.

Now with L in my hands, i have competed my set of chibi death note characters .... muhahahah....Thank you yp and thank you yh!!! It's the perfect gift ^__^

The surprises from my friends made up for the the short n not-so-fruitful time at the toy fair. ^_^ Thanks to them, today, i wasn't just a person who got a another year older. But a happy girl who is happy to have grown another year older ^^

Part 1 : The toy fair...

Singapore 1st ever toy and comic fair....

Sadly, i didn't manage to see much of the toys that interests me. : (
I guess mainly because it was the last day of the fair, most of the toys were sold out, many of the shelves that were believe to be onces filled up with toys were just.... empty.

and its just... crowded... crowded... and crowded... ^^||




And because of the crowds, most of my time spent in the fair were just waiting for the person in front of me to move ahead so that i could make my move too.. LOL

But because of the countless waiting... my eyes landed on him!!


Tim burton's edward scissorhand !!

I dunno what you called those dolls actually, seen quite a number of girls carrying those kind of dolls around. And i thought they were kinda of scary. Imagine waking up in the night and have them staring at you... MUAHAHHA... But the edward scissorhand is cool!! ^^


Soon after this picture was taking i was being hurried out of the event hall by my friends...so that spells the end of my trip to the toy fair along with the only picture of the toy i have taken.... lol... ^^

The sound studio

Once again, I entered the sound studio for the the voice recording for stone boy

The overview of the small sound studio for a small production. Which I is good enough ^^

That's the sound designer sitting there, he composed the opening music for the stoneboy. And someone is inside the recording room, voicing for Stanley... the miserable character.... muahahah... ^^

In the recording room ( if anyone can see.. ), behind the microphone , and ready for recording.

I'm always nervous whenever I enter the recording room. In fact I could feel myself shaking slightly.

But after a few successful takes, the nervousness just fades away...
There's suppose to be a screen in font of me... so that you could watch the animation as you record. ٩(͡๏̯͡๏)۶

Stoneboy is just a quiet character, so it didn't really required much voice acting. That's also because, he doesn't really do much stuff in the animation either. LOL.. he's STONE-boy after all. So throughout the whole animation he just go " huh" " hmm" " ahhh.."...

Even though my role in the recording is small n short, speaking as a newbie in voice acting, after the experience...voice acting is indeed tough. It's not just about going up to the mic and say whatever the character is suppose to say. It's also about giving life to the character, literally acting as if you are the character with just your voice. With just a simple " ohhh " i need a couple of takes to get that right. The pitch is either to low, or it sounded to feminine. Cause he supposed to sound like a cute boy, not some gay. And most importantly to sound expressive enough. Sound and music are the good friends to a animation film, a good music could push the film up to a higher level, covering up mistakes, making actions of the character clearer and conveying some stuffs to the audience which animation on its own would not be able to do it. Especially on emotions. ^^ A gd animation film is about team work after all = )

I guess to perform well as a voice actor, your really need to 敢敢做. When the character is screaming, you really need to scream. If its laughing, you really got to laugh. Pretending that the stage is yours. ^^ And applause to the voice actors behind the big screens... because they are really good. = P

When the Mantou meets the Char Siew Bao

Here is something funny that my friend shared with me.

The Mantou and the Char Siew Bao when to watch a movie one day.
A very sad movie in fact.
During the movie, the Char Siew Bao cried n cried, pouring its heart out, crying non stop.
While the Mantou remained indifferent throughout the whole movie, neither is it crying
nor laughing.
Now, why is this so???

The funniest answer I got was from my friend "bread" ( no kidding, I really do call her bread... n theres a long story )

Her answer : " Its because they are watching a scene with explosions, and the Char Siew Bao, having stuffings in it, got so nervous while watching that particular scene that its stuffings came exploding out. Thats why its crying." ( by the way, this isn't
the correct answer , anyone care to give it a try?? ^_^"

A New Year Resolution

A brand new year , brand new day with a brand new blog along with a brand new post and a brand new resolution.

This is my new year resolution " TO KEEP THIS BLOG ALIVE" ...MUAHAH

Anyone who knew me well enough to know that i used to have a blog knew that my blog would never be alive for more then 2 posts.... MUHAHA... yea somehow it just die... i dunno why. >_<

But with the encouragement of my dear dear friend "Nani" I decided to start a new blog once again=)

So with this new blog, it will show the longest life line of my blog and also kinda of a website thing for my works. My web domain just expired and decided not to continue with it for the time being. Knock me if i disappear from my blog again k? hee...
