dreams

Only few people know that life is beautiful for lacking something. The so-called turning-around is that you not only miss the sun in day time but also the stars at night...

Crazy obsession

I asked my friend what was on her mind...
And so she said the "Eiffel tower"
I drew thinking that she was so obsess about it that it practically grew out from her hair. hehehe =P

Chocolate Bunny

"Chocolate Bunny"book is out! yay!
Everything happens like a surprised gift. Well, yes my client approached me to say she would like to have a book for her daughter and would like to publish it to sell online for charity.

But everything went as far as receiving a grant from the NAC ( national art council) for publishing and even a small article on a magazine.
So much good things have happened recently and i'm really really thankful for it ^^

Years ago, I never thought i could draw.
Yes, its true I even had a problem drawing a cube so to publish a storybook was absolutely impossible then.
And the helpless feeling then still remain avid in me. But also a motivation that kept me going on and on. ( And I admit ,it's because I'm just that stubborn)

Alright~
With my 1st step taken, everything is just a beginning and everything is still small. There's still much more for me to do and grow.
And anyone who ever read this seemingly deserted blog of mine.
I'm glad you are reading a part of my story , and if possible please do continue to watch me grow :) After all, all stories will feel allot more different with an audience.

Bearfruit workshop - The forgotten tea party.

It's been an honor for me to be able to participate with a 4 weeks workshop. Working with illustrator Mas and many like-minded people from different walks of life. Installing me with many different views about illustration. ^^

The workshop's awesome!

And also ending off the whole workshop with a small exhibition in the national library

Depicting a grown up girl having an imaginative tea party with her old rugged teddy bear she found. She remembered the fun she used to have with her favourite teddy bear and along with many of the familiar toys that were once a big part of her life.

There are many things that we have forgotten as we grew older in the complicated and comparative society. Many of these are the seemingly simple things in our life and we are usually feeding it with the thought that they were redundant as we got older. However it was those little things that gave us joy in our simple young life. We have just forgotten how to let ourselves loose and have fun with our imaginations. Sometimes we just forgot how lucid fun could be.

With this art piece, I hope someone could take a closer look and find something familiar and dear to them, hoping that a sense of nostalgic would flow into them as they start to discover the forgotten and also the joy of reminisce

Reliance

Our reliance on machines ~
It was when i realised I'm working in front of the computer all the time ...
When 8 out of 10 of the people in the subway are looking down at their smartphone.
Machineries are all around us.
